Frequent Woolworths customers may already be familiar with the free Everyday Rewards program. But for a small fee, you can go beyond the program’s standard perks by signing up for Everyday Extra.
Woolworths’ new subscription program is packed with additional benefits including monthly discounts, a higher points-earning rate and more. But from 1 July 2023, Woolworths is trimming some benefits from the program. In this guide, we’ll cover everything you need to know about the Everyday Extra program.

What is Everyday Extra?
Everyday Extra is Woolworths’ paid subscription rewards program. It complements the free Everyday Rewards program by providing extra perks when you scan your card at the checkout. Although a fee is involved, the benefits of the program – which we outline below – can certainly be worth the sign-up.
How much does Everyday Extra cost?
Woolworths’ Everyday Extra program currently costs $7 per month or $70 per year. There’s no lock-in contract, so you can opt to be billed monthly and cancel at any time.
Signing up for the annual plan will be equivalent to paying $5.83 a month – or roughly the price of an overpriced cup of coffee.
At the time of writing, Everyday Extra offers a 30-day free trial so you can determine if the subscription fits your needs.
Benefits of Everyday Extra
Members enjoy additional benefits on top of the free Everyday Rewards program. Here’s what’s on offer.
- Earn 2x Everyday Rewards points each time you shop in-store or online at Woolworths and Big W.
- 10% off one shop a month at Woolworths, in-store only.
- 10% off one shop a month at Big W, in-store only.
- Member-exclusive perks like freebies and extra offers.
The ability to redeem 2,000 Everyday Rewards points for $10 off a future shop or convert this amount to 1,000 Qantas Points remains the same.
For point collectors, the Everyday Rewards and Qantas partnership is an alluring way to earn Qantas Points from your regular grocery shop, as well as through gift cards and other promotions. Everyday Rewards points convert to Qantas Points at a rate of 2:1. And with a higher points-earning rate, you can reach your points goals quicker.
If saving cash is your aim, it’s handy to know that the 10% discount stacks on top of the $10 off when you reach 2,000 Everyday Rewards Points. And for many households, the 10% discount can be enough to offset the program’s subscription fee. Unfortunately, it can only be used in-store from 1 July 2023.
Also, you can double-dip on rewards by paying for your shop using a points-earning credit card. You’ll not only earn Everyday Rewards points but also points towards a frequent flyer program or flexible rewards program.

How to join Everyday Extra
To sign up for Everyday Extra, you need to be an existing member of the Woolworths Everyday Rewards program, which is free to join.
You can then join Everyday Extra via the website or through the Everyday Rewards app. This is also how you can sign up for a 30-day free trial.
