You can now convert PayRewards Points to Qatar Airways Privilege Club
Earn uncapped Avios on business bills and more.
What we'll be covering
Business owners can now steadily build their balance of Avios in the Qatar Airways Privilege Club program thanks to a new partnership with PayRewards. That’s the loyalty program of pay.com.au – a payment processor through which entities can earn uncapped points for paying supplier invoices, tax bills and more.
Under the new arrangement, PayRewards members can convert their points into Avios at a 3:1 rate. To illustrate, 120,000 PayRewards Points can become 40,000 Avios. But that’s on a normal day. Until the end of March, transfers from PayRewards to Privilege Club come with a 25% bonus on top – getting you closer to that next reward flight.
We are excited to welcome Qatar Airways as a partner, further expanding the horizons and redemption possibilities for our customers. This partnership underscores our commitment to providing unparalleled value and experience to business owners, enabling them to turn their business expenses into global rewards.

Qatar Airways becomes PayRewards’ fourth airline partner
PayRewards is already a flexible points program. Along with Qatar Airways Privilege Club, PayRewards members can convert their rewards into Qantas Points through Qantas Business Rewards. They can also make transfers to Velocity Points via Virgin Australia Business Flyer and to KrisFlyer miles with Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer.
Transfers to these other partner programs take place at a 2.5:1 rate. While Privilege Club will use a 3:1 rate instead, the program offers some great-value ways to use those hard-earned Avios. For instance, a one-way Business Class ticket on Qatar Airways from Australia to Europe can be had for 90,000 Avios (subject to availability), plus taxes, fees and charges.
On a normal day, that means every 270,000 PayRewards Points could get you to Europe in Qsuites Business Class. But if you transfer your points during the 25% bonus offer, the numbers get even better. With that bonus included, it’s as if the Privilege Club conversion rate were 2.4:1. In other words, you could collect that same stash of 90,000 Avios from a starting balance of just 216,000 PayRewards Points.
The 25% points transfer bonus runs until 31 March 2024, so you have some time to learn more about Privilege Club and hunt down any suitable reward seats. It’s worth noting that Avios can also be converted onwards from Privilege Club into British Airways Executive Club at a 1:1 rate, unlocking even more ways to redeem those miles.
Qatar Airways Privilege Club offers a perfect match for pay.com.au’s vision of rewarding business owners. Members of Privilege Club and PayRewards can take advantage of this partnership and choose from a world-class choice of rewards including the opportunity of exploring over 170 global gateways with Qatar Airways while experiencing our award-winning service. Additionally, they can spend their Avios on enhancing travel and lifestyle experiences with our expanding portfolio of partners, thereby benefitting from added value for our members.

Summing up
Qatar Airways Privilege Club is rapidly expanding in the Australian market. For a long while, it was quite difficult to earn rewards with Qatar Airways in any significant number, except via a couple of select credit cards like Citi Prestige. But now, Qatar’s partnership with PayRewards opens the door quite significantly.
Of course, the PayRewards deal also complements Qatar’s recent addition to the American Express Membership Rewards program. This creates some interesting double-dipping opportunities for business owners with an eligible Amex charge card. The business could earn points twice by paying a single bill. Once, by using their points-earning Amex card. And again by choosing to earn PayRewards points on the same transaction.
Those new to pay.com.au can also earn a bonus 10,000 PayRewards Points. Simply sign up here and transact at least $10,000 in your first month using an eligible payment method.
