Whilst the best value in redeeming Le Club points is usually found in transferring them to their partner frequent flyer programs, including Qantas, Velocity and KrisFlyer, using your points for Elite Experiences can also make sense.
The Melbourne Grand Prix will take place across two days on the weekend of Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 March 2017 and you can redeem:
- 23,200 points for two reserved seats in the grandstand
- 39,800 points for the same seats plus two nights accommodation and breakfast for two at The Como Melbourne and transfers
- 40,090 points for the same as above but the accommodation is at Quay West Suites Melbourne
You can redeem your tickets online for the Melbourne Grand Prix and other activities at the La Collection by Le Club shopping portal.
The terms and conditions say that the tickets can take up to ten days to be delivered by post, so if you are interested, we suggest organising it promptly.

H/T: Fly Stay Points
Using the base conversion of 2000 Le club points for 40 euros as a reference. That comes to 600 aud (440 eur) for just the tickets or 1100 aud (800 eur) for the full package. Which is more expensive than what it would otherwise cost.
But could make sense if you won’t otherwise get the opportunity to use Le club points for hotel redemptions.
