Earning points whenever you spend at BP stores is easy thanks to BP Rewards. Launched in March 2020, BP Rewards allows you to collect points on fuel and eligible in-store purchases made at participating BP stores around Australia.
Most importantly, you can choose whether to earn BP points or Qantas Points, and decide how your points are spent! Now that’s flexibility.
You’ll also earn the same number of points with each transaction, regardless of your choice to go with BP Points or Qantas Points. BP Rewards offers a competitive frequent flyer earn rate on fuel so either way, you’ll be on top.
What can I get with BP Points?
When you earn with BP Rewards, you’ll enjoy flexible rewards more often. Customers can choose to spend their points on dollars off fuel at BP, David Jones eGift Cards, or Qantas Points to put towards a holiday!
For example, once you’ve hit 500 points you’ll save at the checkout, and if you’ve accumulated 1,000 points, you can nab yourself a David Jones eGift Card.
- 500 points = $5 off your next BP purchase.
- 1,000 points = $10 off your next BP purchase or $10 David Jones eGift Card.
- 2,500 points = $25 off your next BP purchase or $25 David Jones eGift Card.
- 5,000 points = $50 off your next BP purchase or $50 David Jones eGift Card.
What can I get with Qantas Points?
If you’d rather top-up your Qantas Points instead, that’s fine too! If you choose to earn Qantas Points, you will see these appear in your Qantas Frequent Flyer account, where you can then redeem them for Classic Reward Seats, upgrades, premium rail journeys and more.
Classic Flight Rewards start from 8,000 Qantas Points in Economy and 18,400 Qantas Points in Business Class, while Business Class upgrades start from 5,400 points: all on the shortest domestic flights.
Using Qantas Points at BP
As of January 2022, you can also spend Qantas Points on purchases in-store at BP. This is possible on transactions worth $10 or more. Whether that’s on fuel, snacks or anything else is up to you!
The number of Qantas Points you’d need to cover each expense varies based on the value of your transaction.
Covering that minimum purchase of $10 with points would pull 1,900 Qantas Points from your account. On a higher $50 purchase, you’d require 9,500 Qantas Points to pay $0 in cold hard cash.
If you’re interested in spending Qantas Points at BP, there’s a procedure to follow. You’ll need to have your digital Qantas Frequent Flyer card ready. There’s also a new ‘Reward Code’, which you’ll need to know how to access.

Summing up
BP Rewards offers customers the gift of choice. Customers can enjoy fantastic earn and redeem rates and choose between earning BP or Qantas Points.
For those loyal to Qantas Frequent Flyer, BP Rewards is a great program to directly earn Qantas Points at BP stores. It’s also a strong competitor to the other fuel loyalty partnerships of Woolworths Rewards with Caltex/Ampol and Flybuys with Shell/Coles Express.
Finally, it’s heartening to see that businesses can earn BP Rewards when paying for BP Plus, and that BP Plus users can double dip and earn with Qantas Business Rewards at the same time.

Today I looked into my Frequent Flyer account and did not see any BP activity entries.
Please let me know what to do. The missing entries are affecting my standing with Qantas Frequent Flyer.
Thankyou,
Qantas frequent flyer told me to contact BP and that it was up to BP to address the issue.
Can BP look up transactions by frequent flyer number? I don’t keep petrol receipts.
Surely lookup by rewards number is possible.
Thanks for your help.
Taso
is there a number I can call at BP? That’s the only way to get to the bottom of the issue.
I can’t find a contact anywhere.
Thanks.
Does this apply to the BP’s in South Australia? I’ve tried a couple of BP’s and they didn’t seem to know anything about the program even though the App clearly has the BP’s listed on the map.
I’m not sure what you mean by your question, as we didn’t mention earning 100,000 bonus points in this article. Please feel free to respond and eloborate further.
Thanks!
