After over four years working at Point Hacks, our Senior Writer and ultimate Points Hacker Matt Moffitt has decided to leave the Point Hacks nest and pursue other interests at his home in Austin, Texas.
This means that we’re on the lookout for a new Senior Writer to join our Content team. If you’re interested in applying for this position, keep reading on.
Summary of Position
The Point Hacks Senior Writer will work within our Content team and network of contributors to effectively research and write Point Hacks content within our website and a range of other digital channels.
Ideally, we’re seeking someone to work in our Melbourne office alongside our product, marketing and management staff, however, there is flexibility on this requirement for the right person.
You’ll need to have had previous writing experience, ideally within the aviation or finance space. It is also preferable that you have previous WordPress experience and familiarity with Google Analytics and the content production workflow tool, Trello.
Ideally, you will also have worked with digital product, marketing and development staff to contribute to improvements to websites and marketing initiatives.
Finally, you must have a strong interest in – or dare we say, passion for – points, rewards programs, rewards credit cards, travel and airlines, especially in the Australian market. Experience in related industries, or the affiliate marketing industry will be looked on favourably.

Please note that there will be extensive verbal questioning around candidates knowledge of points and related content during an interview stage.
