Alongside ANZ’s offer of bonus points on transfers to Velocity in May, ANZ Rewards are also offering a 15% bonus on transfers to Asia Miles.

The offer window runs for a slightly longer period, and runs from today (May 4th) to June 12th. Asia Miles are valuable frequent flyer currency, and this is a good deal if you are considering planning a redemption via Asia Miles in coming months.

ANZ Rewards points usually transfer out to Asia Miles at a rate of 3 ANZ Rewards = 1 Asia Mile. There’s an initial minimum transfer of 3,000 ANZ Rewards points as well with extra points needing to be moved over 1,500 ANZ Rewards points blocks.

So, it’s pretty simple maths – transfer 90,000 ANZ Rewards points, and you’d usually receive 30,000 Asia Miles – along with an additional 4,500 Asia Miles on top thanks to this promotion.

ANZ last ran a similar promotion back in July and August, which was at the 20% level.

This deal is not going to be worth speculatively transferring your ANZ Rewards points to Asia Miles, but if you had a redemption in the works through Asia Miles for travel on one of their partners (which include Qantas, American Airlines, British Airways and other oneworld airlines alongside Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon), then it would of course be worth making the transfer during the promotion window.
