Transfer Flybuys points to Velocity for a 5-15% bonus

Transfer points from Flybuys to Velocity this month and earn 5% or 15% bonus Velocity Points on your first transfer. If you haven’t previously activated Velocity Auto Transfer on your Flybuys account, this is the offer for you. You could take home 15% bonus Velocity Points.

If you’re not eligible for Flybuys’ Auto Transfer bonus offer, don’t fret. There’s a separate offer of 5% bonus Velocity Points when you manually transfer your rewards from Flybuys to Velocity.

Transfer your points to Velocity for a 15-20% bonus

Velocity usually runs a twice-yearly points transfer promotion with most bank partners in May and November. Just like clockwork, the May 2024 bonus is here.

This deal covers most bank reward programs, but you need to transfer over two months for 15% or enable auto transfers for 20%. See our guide for the full list of participating partners.

Buy Velocity Points Booster for up to 35% off

Velocity Frequent Flyer Points Boosters are a handy stop-gap measure for when you’re just shy of your next reward. Right now, you can buy more Velocity Points with a flat 35% discount.

Velocity Frequent Flyer is offering 35% off purchased Points Boosters until 9 May 2024. While it’s not the highest offer we’ve seen (that’s 40%), it’s worth considering if there’s a redemption you can book right now and you just need a small top-up.

Pocket up to 30,000 bonus Qantas Points at Qantas Hotels

Tempted to book that staycation or your next holiday? Act fast because Qantas Hotels is offering up to 30,000 bonus Qantas Points for accommodation bookings.

Simply make a booking at an eligible hotel between 8 and 14 May 2024 (inclusive) for travel on any bookable dates. The number of bonus Qantas Points you can earn depends on how much you spend – with a minimum spend of $500 needed to earn a bonus.

Triple Qantas Points at Qantas Wine

For a limited time, enjoy triple points on all Qantas Wine orders. That’s 3 points per dollar for standard purchases or a huge 9 points per dollar for Qantas Wine Premium Members.

An unpublicised ‘VIP Offer’ is a bonus of 30,000 Qantas Points on top of any order costing $2,000 or more. However, you can only get this deal by calling Qantas Wine on 1800 505 004 and placing your order over the phone.

Up to 2,000 bonus Velocity Points when you link with DiDi

Until 15 May 2024, new and existing DiDi users can earn 1,000 bonus Velocity Points when linking their Velocity Frequent Flyer account.

ABN holders can also link their Virgin Australia Business Flyer account to receive an additional 1,000 bonus Velocity Points. Note that the 1,000 Velocity Points bonus can take up to 31 days to credit to your account.

Up to 35,000 Velocity Points with AGL

Velocity Frequent Flyer members can tap into a new source of bonus points with energy retailer, AGL Energy, now offering Velocity Points with its electricity and gas plans.

Both new and existing customers can benefit from extra Velocity Points when switching to the ‘AGL Velocity Offer’. But with the introductory offer ending on 30 June 2024, you’ll need to start planning your switch soon.

Up to 2,500 bonus Hilton Honors points per stay

Boost your Hilton Honors balance just by registering and staying between 1 January 2024 to 1 May 2024. You’ll earn 2,000 bonus points per stay, plus an additional 500 bonus points per stay if you also use Digital Key. To be clear, your checkout date needs to fall within the promotion date – check-in can be before 1 January 2024.

Register for the promotion on the link below before staying. There is no limit to the number of times you can earn under this promotion (but your visits have to be at least one night apart to be counted as separate stays, even if they’re on different bookings).

Double Hilton Honors points per stay

Across all hotels inside Hilton’s portfolio of brands, enjoy double points when you register and complete stays between 2 May and 2 September 2024. There’s no limit to how many points you can earn under this offer.

Note that Hilton allocates points based on your checkout date. So even if you check in before May 2, as long as your checkout date falls within the promotional dates, you’ll get double points.

Up to 10,000 Velocity Points with Virgin Money car insurance

Car insurance up for renewal? Virgin Money is offering up to 10,000 bonus Velocity Points for new car insurance policies purchased online. You’ll also get 15% off your first-year premiums.

Simply sign-up for the cover online (direct through Virgin Money, not a comparison site) and enter your Velocity number when asked. You’ll get 5,000 points after holding the policy for 65 days, and another 5,000 points if the policy is still active after 6 months. The policyholder must be the main driver and their name must match the Velocity account.

1,000 bonus Qantas Points with Binge

Up to 1,500 bonus Qantas Points with Kayo Sports

Another way to top-up your frequent flyer account via streaming services is to subscribe to Kayo Sports. It’s another of Foxtel’s streaming apps.

Sign up for Kayo Sports as a new customer and get 1,000 bonus Qantas Points on the Kayo One or Kayo Basic plans. Sign up for Kayo Premium and that bonus is even higher, at 1,500 bonus Qantas Points. You’ll also get 100 Qantas Points every month you remain connected, or 150 Qantas Points per month with Kayo Premium.
