Fancy topping up your frequent flyer points balance or getting a spare gift card? With e-Rewards, you can share your thoughts in surveys and get rewarded for your time. There are plenty of reward options including local and international frequent flyer programs, hotel loyalty schemes and gift cards.
However, the process of signing up and getting the rewards you want can actually be a bit complicated. Here are the important things to know with e-Rewards.
How do I sign up for e-Rewards?
You can’t sign-up directly for e-Rewards in Australia at the moment. The only way in is to be invited by a partner program. At the time of writing, the best available sign-up link is through Accor Live Limitless, if you don’t mind missing out on other hotel transfer partners such as IHG One Rewards and Hilton Honors (more on that later).
- Become an Accor Live Limitless member if you haven’t already
- Visit the e-Rewards invitation link via Accor
- Choose which rewards region you’d like to join (we suggest ‘Australia’)
- Complete the sign-up page on e-Rewards
- You are now a member and able to earn points
As you refine your user profile, you’ll be offered relevant surveys. Successful completion of surveys will net you Opinion Points, which can later be swapped for rewards. You might receive a partial amount if you start a survey, but then are later excluded by an answer you select.
What rewards can I get with Opinion Points?
Australian users are able to use Opinion Points for a variety of airline and hotel miles, as well as digital gift cards. You can browse the full range of available rewards on the website. But as we mentioned earlier, not all those advertised rewards might be available to you.
Choosing which partner to sign-up with
Here’s the rub: the partner you initially signed up to e-Rewards with dictates which actual rewards you’ll be able to redeem. For example, those who signed up previously via Velocity Frequent Flyer will only have Velocity as a rewards option in their profile.
Those who sign up through our suggested Accor link above will have access to all available airline programs and gift cards, however the other hotel loyalty programs such as IHG One Rewards, Hilton Honors and Radisson Rewards won’t show up. Sneaky!
At the time of writing, we haven’t been able to find a working invite link that includes all advertised partners on e-Rewards Australia’s site, so the Accor option is probably your best bet with 17 of 21 partners available.
TIP: If you really want to send your Opinion Points to a specific hotel partner apart from Accor, try signing up to e-Rewards through that partner directly. If no direct link is available, then keep an eye out on your email for an invitation.
Airline loyalty programs
Airline loyalty miles and points are probably the most popular transfer options. Plus, some of the lower tier amounts are easier to achieve if you don’t do surveys often.

How do I redeem a reward with e-Rewards?
Have you earned enough Opinion Points and can see the partner you wish to transfer to? Great work, all that’s left is to make the redemption.
- Navigate to the ‘Rewards’ page in your account
- Choose the partner reward you want
- Select how many points you want to exchange for the reward
- Click ‘Checkout’ to finalise the swap
Note that each reward has a limit on how often it can be redeemed. For example, most airline programs only allow one transfer every 30 days, while some gift cards can only be redeemed once every 90 days. Be sure to choose wisely!
What’s the best use of e-Reward Opinion Points?
That really does depend on how often you do surveys, and what your travel goals are. If you collect points often and do want to enjoy a premium flight or hotel experience, then going for those desired programs could be a good idea. Otherwise, infrequent users might just prefer a smaller gift card as a small treat.
Based on Australian redemption rates, 6,000 Opinion Points gets you a $20 gift card at some retailers. That chunk of Opinion Points is also equivalent to 2,000 Velocity Points, which we value at $38.00 at present. So you can see which option is more worth it – but still, the choice comes down to you.
Summing up
Of course, e-Rewards isn’t going to get you rich. But if you’re able to spare some time out of your day to complete surveys, it could be useful in the long run. Reasons to do surveys include:
- Resetting the points expiry of certain loyalty programs (e.g. Velocity Frequent Flyer)
- Adding some activity to accounts which require you to have points before you can buy even more points (e.g. British Airways and/or Iberia for Avios)
- Topping up your account so you get closer to a reward over the long term
- Just for fun?
