Summing up
Qantas’ approach of charging for Business Rewards membership mirrors what it does with the personal Qantas Frequent Flyer program. These fees may catch out travellers and business owners new to the world of points. But with so many ways to join the program for free, be savvy and save your coins for something else.
But you also have to be ‘in it to win it’, so to speak. Your business can only earn points for flights taken by employees after joining the program. Any flights taken before the business signs up can’t be retroactively claimed. Of course, the traveller can still earn their own Qantas Points – regardless of a business’ participation in QBR.
Do you know any business owners among your circle of friends and family? Then be sure to forward this page to them, to help them save and start earning rewards. Spread the word!
