I am a long standing velocity platinum member so always on the look out for points deals. Lux escapes was great for points when it was a qantas earn. Not so with velocity – the red v does not equate to points in the bank. I spent over 30k on a Maldives lux escape deal with the red v no points. I went into their shop in Melbourne and asked why eventually as a good will gesture they gave me a $200 voucher nowhere near the savings I would have had with 35K points. Beware the lux escapes/virgin partnership there is not even a enter your velocity number box at checkout!
